The ‘150 Special’ debuted at Milan in 1963. The tuned engine and close-ratio gearbox made for a faster – 95kmh – machine with much-improved acceleration. A limited number in metallic gold were produced as the ‘Golden Special’ in 1965 for little more than a year. Naturally, its rarity has led to many ordinary Li models being turned into ‘Golden’ copies by the addition of paint and badges.

How often do you see one of these? Here we have a very rare original paint unmolested Italian Golden Special.

The frame and engine numbers are correct and it is almost certain that the engine has never been removed nor a cable ever replaced. The tank is clean inside and she comes with her original keys.  The engine is turning freely but a complete mechanical overhaul with a conservative approach to preserve her is recommended.  The bodywork is absolutely sound with exceptional condition paint all over.  She is quite simply magnifico. Impossible to find nowadays.

She has  v5 and is registered in the UK if she is to stay here.  Collection only or transport can be arranged at cost and viewing in North Devon is welcomed.
